Tired of watering your plants?

I can remember the day the Aquaglobe first entered Emily's life. She spent the day with her Grandma and came home to tell me about this "cool thing" she'd seen on TV. She told me all about it and how I needed one and I listened and didn't really think twice, just nodding my head as she went through the whole infomericial. Well this was nine months ago and she hasn't been the same since.

A few months ago she went to Walgreen's with her dad and discovered that they carry the Aquaglobe, I think this was the greatest day of her life. Now I cannot drive by Walgreen's without coming up with an excuse to not buy the Aquaglobe. Without thinking, Aaron and I stopped there last night and had planned for him to run in and grab what we needed when Emily barrelled out of her carseat and said, "I've got to show you the Aquaglobes!" We just looked at each other and realized we couldn't say no to this, nor could we laugh because she is dead serious about her Aquaglobes. So we followed her in as she was on a dead run with a look of glee on her face as she went to show us her beloved Aquaglobes.

We've had to put a lock on all TV channels showing infomercials because besides the Aquaglobes she is now convinced I need a "Snuggie" as well.

Most kids at her age would be delighted to meet a famous athlete or actress or singer, but I think all it would take for Emily is to meet the inventor of the Aquaglobes.

I've toyed with the idea of buying a whole bunch of them, doubling the price, and sending the kid out as a door-to-door salesman. I'm not kidding, she has a sales pitch and everything. She has relentlessly tried to convince me that having Aquaglobes to water my two living plants will save me loads of time and hassle. My birthday is coming up soon and in all her persistance I've mentioned that this would be a really good gift, so if I do not receive the Aquaglobes for my birthday I will be sorely disappointed and a great deal of my time and energy will be wasted on watering my two plants. :)

Emily is the infomecial test child. Aaron needs to get her sold on the business plan. She will raise the money we need. People won't be able to tell her no. She sure is cute. Mark

Christmas in Germany

Christmas 2016 Bernkastel-Kues Christmas morning Our Christmas was a little different this year, or I guess a lot different because of being in a different country and far away from the family and friends we love. We celebrated about a week and a half early because Emily went to spend Christmas with her other family and Aaron had to work on Christmas. Emily left the day after the girls' last day of school, so when they came home from school we opened presents from each other and then by popular vote spent the rest of the night eating pizza and bowling at the bowling alley on base. The next day we woke up early to deliver Em to the airport. We were able to hit a couple of Christmas Markets in the beginning weeks of December with her and then we did a couple after she left. We thought it was kind of fun how each Christmas Market has their own mug that you can collect, so the collecting motivated Aaron a little more to hit multiple markets rather than to just stay ho...

6 Week Flu

SYMPTONS: FREQUENT VOMITING, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE, NAUSEA, LACK OF MOTIVATION SIDE EFFECTS: HOUSE TURNS INTO A PIG PEN, FAMILY MEMBERS WEAR DIRTY UNDERWEAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY ARE ACCUSED OF HAVING EATING DISORDERS FROM MALNUTRITION, YOUR BED & COUCH HAVE A PERMANENT INDENT, AND THE CARPET FROM HERE TO THE BATHROOM HAVE A WELL WORN PATH, PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH My friend recently told me there's a chance she "might" be pregnant. When I asked what might meant, she told me it could just be the flu. I laughed at her until I started experiencing the same symptoms. Even after a positive pregnancy test I worried that it might be all in my head. Thank heavens for a trip to the doctor, he confirmed that: WE ARE HAVING BABY NUMBER 2 !!!!!! I apologize to any of you who have asked recently when we are having more kids or why I am sick, and I didn't give you a straight answer . . . well now you know!
