Nesting

Aaron would probably agree that my nesting mode has been in line with this guy - a little to the extreme.

I've been unexpectedly out of work for a month due to my department being remodeled which has only exacerbated my nesting. (Too bad they couldn't have coordinated with my maternity leave.) Not only do I know where everything in our house is and have it labeled, but the decorations change daily. Em and I have kept ourselves busy and find new projects to do on a regular basis. Here are some of the things we've been up to.

We created some wall art for our living room.

We redecorated the fireplace mantel.

We got the baby's bed set up and ready.

We made curtains for the girls' room.

We made wall hangings for the girls' room.

I go back to work tomorrow and I feel like they're infringing upon my time. How dare they . . . :) My creative juices have just started flowing and in a month and half any energy I have will be completely exhausted by our new little angel. Can't wait :)

Don't be too impressed, those wall hangings were really easy. I just took canvas and used a staple gun to fasten decorator fabrics around the canvas. After I had done a few, I found it was cheaper to just use foam board instead of the canvas. It's pretty crazy the things that come out of you when you're pregnant (in more ways than one :). My due date has moved up to April 30th now. Yay!

Well, if Aaron gets sick of your out of control nesting mode, have him fly you out to my house because I need some help in this pig pen! Cute art projects!

Great work - I'm truly impressed.

May I tap on your creativity sometime? I'm looking to change a few things at my home when I get back from HI.

I haven't looked at your blog for a long time. You have been busy. I suppose you are due in a couple of weeks now. Hope you and your cute family (Aaron and Emily) are doing well. J.D. and Adrieene are here for a few weeks. Hope we can get something done as far as our business is concerned. Mark

6 Week Flu

SYMPTONS: FREQUENT VOMITING, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE, NAUSEA, LACK OF MOTIVATION SIDE EFFECTS: HOUSE TURNS INTO A PIG PEN, FAMILY MEMBERS WEAR DIRTY UNDERWEAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY ARE ACCUSED OF HAVING EATING DISORDERS FROM MALNUTRITION, YOUR BED & COUCH HAVE A PERMANENT INDENT, AND THE CARPET FROM HERE TO THE BATHROOM HAVE A WELL WORN PATH, PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH My friend recently told me there's a chance she "might" be pregnant. When I asked what might meant, she told me it could just be the flu. I laughed at her until I started experiencing the same symptoms. Even after a positive pregnancy test I worried that it might be all in my head. Thank heavens for a trip to the doctor, he confirmed that: WE ARE HAVING BABY NUMBER 2 !!!!!! I apologize to any of you who have asked recently when we are having more kids or why I am sick, and I didn't give you a straight answer . . . well now you know!

Meet Izzy

Isabel Marie DeHart made her debut into the world on Saturday April 18, 2009 at 6:08 pm She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 in. long We are in love with her curly blond hair Aaron is in love with his new little girl. I hardly changed any diapers in the hospital and unless I was feeding her I had to fight him to hold her. He claims I got to hold her for the last 9 months, it's hardly the sa me. Our family of four I DID IT! I had set a goal for myself to deliver naturally with this baby (I had an epidural with em and don't get me wrong I loved it.) Aaron and I took classes to learn relaxation techniques and how the body works through the delivery process. We learned a lot. I had been having some serious labor pains for the past several weeks and thought because of this I probably wouldn't realize when it was time for the real thing. I had hair appointments scheduled all day Saturday and was doing my last one (thank heavens it was my mom) when my water broke. She stil...
