Big Sister

I hope and pray that the words sweet, cute, angel, love, etc. continue to be in Emily's vocabulary as her little sister grows. Emily is an amazing big sister. I don't know where she got her patience as a big sister, but she loves Isabel and is so helpful with her. I don't know what I did when Emily was a baby without a gopher to grab things for me. :)

I try not to let my little sister see this because it might make her jealous, especially when she remembers the time I ran over her with my bike or sold her my hand-me-down clothes or listened in on her private phone conversations to later blackmail her. Hopefully Emily doesn't inherit my genes in the big sister department. If all she takes from me is bossiness I think we can handle it, although it is a little annoying for Aaron and I to take parenting advice from a 5-year old. She is continuously reminding us to be careful with Izzy because we're making her cold, uncomfortable, etc. We love her though and are grateful for all her help!

Love you Chel!

oh my gosh...such cute pictures. I can't believe all her hair. So pretty, Anica! I also got a kick out of the pic of you and Michelle. I love love old pics! And it sounds like you were quite the big sis! ;) I'm sure I would have been the same way had I had a younger sister to pick on. Glad everything is great!

Emily is a star -- she needs to pass some of her patience to my daughter.

Christmas in Germany

Christmas 2016 Bernkastel-Kues Christmas morning Our Christmas was a little different this year, or I guess a lot different because of being in a different country and far away from the family and friends we love. We celebrated about a week and a half early because Emily went to spend Christmas with her other family and Aaron had to work on Christmas. Emily left the day after the girls' last day of school, so when they came home from school we opened presents from each other and then by popular vote spent the rest of the night eating pizza and bowling at the bowling alley on base. The next day we woke up early to deliver Em to the airport. We were able to hit a couple of Christmas Markets in the beginning weeks of December with her and then we did a couple after she left. We thought it was kind of fun how each Christmas Market has their own mug that you can collect, so the collecting motivated Aaron a little more to hit multiple markets rather than to just stay ho...

6 Week Flu

SYMPTONS: FREQUENT VOMITING, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE, NAUSEA, LACK OF MOTIVATION SIDE EFFECTS: HOUSE TURNS INTO A PIG PEN, FAMILY MEMBERS WEAR DIRTY UNDERWEAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY ARE ACCUSED OF HAVING EATING DISORDERS FROM MALNUTRITION, YOUR BED & COUCH HAVE A PERMANENT INDENT, AND THE CARPET FROM HERE TO THE BATHROOM HAVE A WELL WORN PATH, PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH My friend recently told me there's a chance she "might" be pregnant. When I asked what might meant, she told me it could just be the flu. I laughed at her until I started experiencing the same symptoms. Even after a positive pregnancy test I worried that it might be all in my head. Thank heavens for a trip to the doctor, he confirmed that: WE ARE HAVING BABY NUMBER 2 !!!!!! I apologize to any of you who have asked recently when we are having more kids or why I am sick, and I didn't give you a straight answer . . . well now you know!
