April Fool's

If you've read our blog in the past, you know we have issues with Emily and our toothbrushes which you can read about here. Well, unfortunately we haven't resolved those issues. I was putting Izzy and Claire to bed the other night when Em came in with my toothbrush and asked if it was mine. She was in a good mood and sometimes likes to be helpful and set out my toothbrush with toothpaste on it, so I didn't think anything about it until Aaron came home from work and when brushing his teeth before bed asked, "Why is my toothbrush all orange?"  I laughed and told him of the earlier occurrence and then when he looked at mine and told me it was orange too, I didn't think it was so funny anymore.We threw our toothbrushes away and only had one spare on hand that we shared. The next morning Aaron had left already when Em was getting ready and I asked her what she had done to our toothbrushes.

Emily: "It was just a joke. April Fools!"
Me:    "Um Em, it's not April Fools and why are our toothbrushes orange?"
Emily:  "Because I was just playing a trick and so I put them in your makeup."
Me:     "Well it wasn't very funny and maybe you should have saved it for April Fools."
Emily:  "Well if I did it on April Fool's then you would expect me to do something, I did it now so you wouldn't expect anything."

Clever Em. Still not funny.

6 Week Flu

SYMPTONS: FREQUENT VOMITING, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE, NAUSEA, LACK OF MOTIVATION SIDE EFFECTS: HOUSE TURNS INTO A PIG PEN, FAMILY MEMBERS WEAR DIRTY UNDERWEAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY ARE ACCUSED OF HAVING EATING DISORDERS FROM MALNUTRITION, YOUR BED & COUCH HAVE A PERMANENT INDENT, AND THE CARPET FROM HERE TO THE BATHROOM HAVE A WELL WORN PATH, PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH My friend recently told me there's a chance she "might" be pregnant. When I asked what might meant, she told me it could just be the flu. I laughed at her until I started experiencing the same symptoms. Even after a positive pregnancy test I worried that it might be all in my head. Thank heavens for a trip to the doctor, he confirmed that: WE ARE HAVING BABY NUMBER 2 !!!!!!
