WE'RE HAVING A . . .

So we went to the doctor yesterday and he did an ultrasound. He began by asking Emily whether she is having a brother or sister.
She confidently said a brother and a couple minutes later the doctor said, "I'm proud to announce there's a 98 % chance you are having a . . .

GIRL!!!

The look on Emily's face was priceless. She slumped down in her chair with the most disappointed look I have ever seen. In the car on the way home she said, "Just send it back!"

I think she's over it now and we are all really excited. Aaron would have liked a little more testosterone in the house, but he's perfectly excited to have another little girl. I'm just excited because now I don't have to get anything ready. I have all the clothes and crib and bedding so I don't have to stress.

Now I can look forward to another little helper with my domestic projects. I got my sewing machine out this week to mend some of Aaron's clothes and Emily got all excited and said she wanted to sew something. We had her first sewing project and she sewed this little apron. Some who have inspected it have mentioned that it doesn't look like a four-year-old sewed it so I must admit my OCD kicked in and I couldn't let the stitches be crooked so I sat by the side and helped guide the fabric while she pushed the pedal and helped me. All I can say is I'm glad she's not driving anytime soon cuz she has a LEAD foot! : ) Then we had to make cookies to put it to use!
We're excited to have another girl in our home!

Yeah another Girl. Sorry Aaron, you're still outnumbered. I still sometimes wish we would have had another girl, only because everything is so cute. Cute apron too, we may have to try it sometime.

Yay Anica! Exciting! Emily is going to be such a cute big sister to her. Congrats to you!
Congrats on the new little Miss. Emily will be a great big sister.

Liv had her own sewing machine when she was Em's age. She sewed all the way through her finger. Now she laughs about it. But I am sure Em won't make the same mistake.

6 Week Flu

SYMPTONS: FREQUENT VOMITING, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE, NAUSEA, LACK OF MOTIVATION SIDE EFFECTS: HOUSE TURNS INTO A PIG PEN, FAMILY MEMBERS WEAR DIRTY UNDERWEAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY ARE ACCUSED OF HAVING EATING DISORDERS FROM MALNUTRITION, YOUR BED & COUCH HAVE A PERMANENT INDENT, AND THE CARPET FROM HERE TO THE BATHROOM HAVE A WELL WORN PATH, PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH My friend recently told me there's a chance she "might" be pregnant. When I asked what might meant, she told me it could just be the flu. I laughed at her until I started experiencing the same symptoms. Even after a positive pregnancy test I worried that it might be all in my head. Thank heavens for a trip to the doctor, he confirmed that: WE ARE HAVING BABY NUMBER 2 !!!!!! I apologize to any of you who have asked recently when we are having more kids or why I am sick, and I didn't give you a straight answer . . . well now you know!

Meet Izzy

Isabel Marie DeHart made her debut into the world on Saturday April 18, 2009 at 6:08 pm She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 in. long We are in love with her curly blond hair Aaron is in love with his new little girl. I hardly changed any diapers in the hospital and unless I was feeding her I had to fight him to hold her. He claims I got to hold her for the last 9 months, it's hardly the sa me. Our family of four I DID IT! I had set a goal for myself to deliver naturally with this baby (I had an epidural with em and don't get me wrong I loved it.) Aaron and I took classes to learn relaxation techniques and how the body works through the delivery process. We learned a lot. I had been having some serious labor pains for the past several weeks and thought because of this I probably wouldn't realize when it was time for the real thing. I had hair appointments scheduled all day Saturday and was doing my last one (thank heavens it was my mom) when my water broke. She stil...
