Emily update

For all the Emily fans out there, I have to tell a funny thing I overheard her say. She was sent to clean her room one night before we went to Aaron's basketball game and wasn't making much progress. She kept asking me to help her, which essentially means do it for her. I told her no and that she was big enough to clean it up by herself. As I walked in the other room I heard her sit on the floor with a big sigh and say, "Who am I kidding? My mom is right, I am a pain!"

Oh my gosh! Emily is so cute. What a funny little character. She has some of the most classic lines...("just sippy cups") that we still laugh about! Sounds like you are busy with your project. Good luck with that- it sounds inspiring :)

I wish my kids would admit that THEY were pains! If I could get them to clean their rooms, too, what a bonus. I swear they all feed off each other- if one rebels the whole bunch run mad. I'm totally outnumbered. Still, I think we're gonna keep them. ;)

hey anne... i love the em story! and wow... i thought about the intergrated studies, but decided otherwise.. i am proud of you! that sounds like an awesome project.. i am sure that it is rewarding! i did get the envelopes..sorry i didnt tell you before! it has been crazy! the gift that ash got is awesome! i will let you know how it all goes! love ya!

Christmas 2016 Bernkastel-Kues Christmas morning Our Christmas was a little different this year, or I guess a lot different because of being in a different country and far away from the family and friends we love. We celebrated about a week and a half early because Emily went to spend Christmas with her other family and Aaron had to work on Christmas. Emily left the day after the girls' last day of school, so when they came home from school we opened presents from each other and then by popular vote spent the rest of the night eating pizza and bowling at the bowling alley on base. The next day we woke up early to deliver Em to the airport. We were able to hit a couple of Christmas Markets in the beginning weeks of December with her and then we did a couple after she left.
