Blueberry Pickin' in M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

We drove down to Mississippi yesterday to pick blueberries at a blueberry plantation. Now I've never been a huge blueberry fan, but I must say that you've never tasted blueberries til you've picked them fresh. They are so good, nothing like the blueberries you get in the store. We only got a half gallon and I'm pretty sure they will be gone before the end of the week. Yum!
THE REST OF THE STORY: Some of you commented on the fact that Emily looks like she's taking a dump in the last picture. Well she did, but not in the bucket. While we were picking she informed me she had to go to the bathroom. I didn't know where one was and thinking she just had to go pee, I told her to squat behind a blueberry bush. I held her so she could go and when she stood up there was a little more than pee. So she stood there with her pants down while I ran to the car to get some wipes. I got back and cleaned her up and fearing that someone would step in it I got a wipe, picked up the poo and threw it in the middle of the bush. So yes she did take a dump.

can't quite tell from that last picture.... is she resting or taking a potty break???! too bad we didn't see much of you- i was too busy dealing with a blueberry picking melt-down, along with dumped buckets! man that's a LOT of work! i never realized how many blueberries it takes to fill a gallon bucket!

It looks like you guys are having so much fun. You're making me want to move to the South. Emily's little squat in the last picture is funny; she is so entertaining!

Christmas in Germany

Christmas 2016 Bernkastel-Kues Christmas morning Our Christmas was a little different this year, or I guess a lot different because of being in a different country and far away from the family and friends we love. We celebrated about a week and a half early because Emily went to spend Christmas with her other family and Aaron had to work on Christmas. Emily left the day after the girls' last day of school, so when they came home from school we opened presents from each other and then by popular vote spent the rest of the night eating pizza and bowling at the bowling alley on base. The next day we woke up early to deliver Em to the airport. We were able to hit a couple of Christmas Markets in the beginning weeks of December with her and then we did a couple after she left. We thought it was kind of fun how each Christmas Market has their own mug that you can collect, so the collecting motivated Aaron a little more to hit multiple markets rather than to just stay ho...

6 Week Flu

SYMPTONS: FREQUENT VOMITING, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE, NAUSEA, LACK OF MOTIVATION SIDE EFFECTS: HOUSE TURNS INTO A PIG PEN, FAMILY MEMBERS WEAR DIRTY UNDERWEAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY ARE ACCUSED OF HAVING EATING DISORDERS FROM MALNUTRITION, YOUR BED & COUCH HAVE A PERMANENT INDENT, AND THE CARPET FROM HERE TO THE BATHROOM HAVE A WELL WORN PATH, PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH My friend recently told me there's a chance she "might" be pregnant. When I asked what might meant, she told me it could just be the flu. I laughed at her until I started experiencing the same symptoms. Even after a positive pregnancy test I worried that it might be all in my head. Thank heavens for a trip to the doctor, he confirmed that: WE ARE HAVING BABY NUMBER 2 !!!!!! I apologize to any of you who have asked recently when we are having more kids or why I am sick, and I didn't give you a straight answer . . . well now you know!
