Out of my league

Little did I know what I was getting myself into by coming to Memphis for the summer. Now I mentioned before that I had a little apprehension about being a stay-at-home mom, so I thought I was doing pretty good with my finger-painting, fort-making, cookie-baking ways, that is until I made friends with a group of moms down here that I will refer to as the "Super Moms." One in particular (you know who you are) will probably finish out the year with the title "Memphis Mother of the Year." This is the mom that Emily wants to go live with because she's "nicer than my mom." Hey, I don't blame her, who wouldn't want a mom that makes cute bows to match all her daughters outfits, dresses not only her kids, but herself as a cow to get a free meal at Chic-fil-a, and comes up with the idea to sew capes for all of our kids when Halloween is still months away. I have to say that staying up til 2 A.M. on a weekend night sewing superhero capes may not sound like a whole lot of fun, but that's because you haven't made friends with these moms. I'm sure Emily thanks you for letting her mom into the big league, especially now that she has her CARS superhero cape!

Out of your league? No way! You are totaly super mom. I even think you need to make yourself a cape. How many women can say they got their cosmatology liscense, graduated college, worked two jobs throughout almost the entire process, is published!, and is now a freelance photographer for the magazine that published your work. All befor you child was even 5...and lets not forget Emily ....In my personal opinion your "crowning jewel" of achievment...Emily is amayzing. She is kind, well manored, hilarious, inteligent, and so much like you it kills me! You are my so a super mom!! Im serious about the cape too.

Christmas in Germany

Christmas 2016 Bernkastel-Kues Christmas morning Our Christmas was a little different this year, or I guess a lot different because of being in a different country and far away from the family and friends we love. We celebrated about a week and a half early because Emily went to spend Christmas with her other family and Aaron had to work on Christmas. Emily left the day after the girls' last day of school, so when they came home from school we opened presents from each other and then by popular vote spent the rest of the night eating pizza and bowling at the bowling alley on base. The next day we woke up early to deliver Em to the airport. We were able to hit a couple of Christmas Markets in the beginning weeks of December with her and then we did a couple after she left. We thought it was kind of fun how each Christmas Market has their own mug that you can collect, so the collecting motivated Aaron a little more to hit multiple markets rather than to just stay ho...

6 Week Flu

SYMPTONS: FREQUENT VOMITING, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE, NAUSEA, LACK OF MOTIVATION SIDE EFFECTS: HOUSE TURNS INTO A PIG PEN, FAMILY MEMBERS WEAR DIRTY UNDERWEAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY ARE ACCUSED OF HAVING EATING DISORDERS FROM MALNUTRITION, YOUR BED & COUCH HAVE A PERMANENT INDENT, AND THE CARPET FROM HERE TO THE BATHROOM HAVE A WELL WORN PATH, PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH My friend recently told me there's a chance she "might" be pregnant. When I asked what might meant, she told me it could just be the flu. I laughed at her until I started experiencing the same symptoms. Even after a positive pregnancy test I worried that it might be all in my head. Thank heavens for a trip to the doctor, he confirmed that: WE ARE HAVING BABY NUMBER 2 !!!!!! I apologize to any of you who have asked recently when we are having more kids or why I am sick, and I didn't give you a straight answer . . . well now you know!
