What a Surprise!

Aaron happened to get off a little early on Saturday (around 8:30pm) and mentioned that he was bringing home a surprise. When Emily and I opened the door we found him standing there with a cooler. When we took the lid off, this is what we found:

Now he mentioned to me on the phone that it was a turtle and not to tell Emily. He said we'd have to get it an aquarium. So I'm thinking, oh fun a little turtle. Well, the fact that he failed to mention was that this turtle was the size of a FOOTBALL!! Emily was freaked out by it and said it was going to bite her and hurt her. I tried to console her and all she could say was, "Mom PLEASE understand what I'm trying to say!"

We decided to keep it in the bathtub overnight until we figured out what to do with it. The next morning Emily forgot it was in the bathtub and went to go to the bathroom when we heard her run to our room, throw open the door and exclaim, "AARON there is a turtle in the bathtub and it's head and it's claws are out!" We told her she needed to take a bath and she would have to do it with the turtle because we didn't have anywhere else to put him. Her eyes got huge and the look on her face was priceless when she said, "But he'll kill me!"

Sadly this is the conclusion of the story of our pet turtle (who never even got a name) because we decided a turtle the size of a football would do better off in the wild so we turned him loose after this photo shoot.

No turtles were harmed in the making of this blog post.

Hey! I loved this story about the turtle! Also, I'm so glad to hear you set him (or her) free. They are way too much work for very little entertainment so good choice. Emily asked me in her message to email her in the mail. Any idea on how I go about that? Ps, I miss that cute girl like crazy, please send her home and I promise to feed her for the rest of the summer!

How come I'm getting old and ugly and you look prettier every time I see a picture?!? Good job on sending the turtle to the wild- they totally creep me out too. We puppy sat Jen's dog last week and I'm convinced I can't clean up one more creatures poop. No pets for us either...
This is the Ozmuns......We love this post. We laughed and laughed. Emily's face is priceless in the pictures.

I am glad you all made it away from the turtle alive. They sure can be vicious. This is such a great post!

6 Week Flu

SYMPTONS: FREQUENT VOMITING, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE, NAUSEA, LACK OF MOTIVATION SIDE EFFECTS: HOUSE TURNS INTO A PIG PEN, FAMILY MEMBERS WEAR DIRTY UNDERWEAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY ARE ACCUSED OF HAVING EATING DISORDERS FROM MALNUTRITION, YOUR BED & COUCH HAVE A PERMANENT INDENT, AND THE CARPET FROM HERE TO THE BATHROOM HAVE A WELL WORN PATH, PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH My friend recently told me there's a chance she "might" be pregnant. When I asked what might meant, she told me it could just be the flu. I laughed at her until I started experiencing the same symptoms. Even after a positive pregnancy test I worried that it might be all in my head. Thank heavens for a trip to the doctor, he confirmed that: WE ARE HAVING BABY NUMBER 2 !!!!!! I apologize to any of you who have asked recently when we are having more kids or why I am sick, and I didn't give you a straight answer . . . well now you know!

Isabel Marie DeHart made her debut into the world on Saturday April 18, 2009 at 6:08 pm She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 in. long We are in love with her curly blond hair Aaron is in love with his new little girl. I hardly changed any diapers in the hospital and unless I was feeding her I had to fight him to hold her. He claims I got to hold her for the last 9 months, it's hardly the sa me. Our family of four I DID IT! I had set a goal for myself to deliver naturally with this baby (I had an epidural with em and don't get me wrong I loved it.) Aaron and I took classes to learn relaxation techniques and how the body works through the delivery process. We learned a lot. I had been having some serious labor pains for the past several weeks and thought because of this I probably wouldn't realize when it was time for the real thing. I had hair appointments scheduled all day Saturday and was doing my last one (thank heavens it was my mom) when my water broke. She stil...
